Kids Skyping Kids

This morning, these kids in California Skyped with our kids in Cura... the event was a big success! Here's what Amy had to say about it:

We had a fantastic skype call with the kids at Cura and some kids in the Palisades. The kids here want to start a pen pal program and they are sending soccer uniforms to the kids. Norm was a fantastic facilitator and we even got a special ugali presentation (the kids here wanted to know what the kids eat in cura).

Such a great morning!

Kenya Spare a Camera is heading back to Cura!

Beloved volunteer Norman is heading back to Cura soon to jump-start his Kenya Spare a Camera project, and he's got a suitcase full of new cameras to bring with him! Many thanks to the generous people who have donated cameras and other equipment so that the photography project can be implemented and sustained as arts curriculum at the secondary school, even after Norman says his tearful good-byes...
